Oswego Canal
Linking the Erie Canal with Lake Ontario the Oswego Canal is at the confluence of three rivers north of Syracuse and west of Lake Oneida in Central New York. The Oswego Canal intersects with Lake Ontario's south shore at Oswego after flowing through the cities of Phoenix, Fulton, and Oswego. The active Port of Oswego with its War of 1812/World War II Fort Oswego historical site, maritime museum and State College is a transshipment point for goods coming from both the western Great Lakes and the Atlantic Ocean through the St. Lawrence Seaway.
